Tsolum River Prayer

        Tso-lum
        So-hum

I sit quietly to the tune
of rippling water flowing to the sea
I wait for the subtle rhythms
to lull my brain into silence
I allow my thoughts to be
carried away downstream
I hum the river's mantra
        Tso-lum
        becoming So-hum
I inhale on “so”
and exhale on “hum”
        I am that
        One with All
